Congratulations to the following five recipients of the 2017 Portage County Farm Bureau Robert Brookover Scholarship Award winners.

Andrew Boring

Andrew Boring

I graduated from Southeast High School in 2016 and I am currently attending the Moody Bible Institute.  I am pursuing a degree in Pastoral Studies.  My goal is to faithfully serve God in ministry as a pastor.  I hope to learn more valuable information in my classes as I pursue my degree in the Ba/Ma Pastoral Studies.  I currently serve as the Secretary in Student Government at Moody.

 

 

Cassidie Maur

Cassidie Maur

I recently graduated from James A Garfield High School and will be attending Kent State University to pursue a degree in Nursing and specialize in Pediatrics. I plan to obtain my degree in 4 years or less and begin work in a doctor’s office or a hospital that specializes in children.

I recently graduated from Crestwood High School and will be attending the Kent State University at Geauga where I plan on majoring in Middle Childhood Education Mathematics and Science.   My career objective is to be a 4-9 grade teacher in math and science.

I graduated from James A Garfield High School in 2016 and I am currently attending the University of Akron where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering.    My occupational objective is to be a part of the design team and design items for the agricultural or industrial community by using a 3D printer, or any other computer based design technology to assist in making these areas of industry more efficient and gain profits.

I graduated from Field High School in 2015 and I am currently attending The Ohio State University.  I am majoring in Radiologic Science & Therapy.   My occupational objective is to provide a positive healthcare experience to all who I treat.  It is also my hope to maintain a small farm of hogs and boer goats.
